Joaquin has had intestinal issues since as long as I can remember. Never a solid bowel movement unless he was on a strong antibiotic. He had an endoscopy and colonoscopy last week with biopsy.
I got a call yesterday. He has a bacterial infection and goes on antibiotics for a few months once the insurance approves meds. Currently he is on a three week diet of no bovine of any kind....meat and dairy.
The doctor wants to get to the bottom of it all. He has an inflamed stomach and intestines as well. Poor kid.

And they broke
So, I felt a jolt and my Cuba cabinet doors flew open. China and glass cane crashing down. I know they are just things but, some of then meant a lot to me. The wedding china my friend Debbie gave me, meant the most. Eventually, we will get new glass shelving for it and new china yet, I'm stick sad. I need to detach from such material things.

Doctors and Such
We've been back and forth so much I need to hire a babysitter or trade for delicious baked goods.
Maggie had blood work today and Joaquin had a doctors appointment....it's only Monday.

Visiting a Friend
We all went yesterday to visit an old school friend of mine. We were there about six hours. I had no clue until we left it was that long. We were having fun, laughing and drinking fancy drinks with saucers.
The kids all get along well. Lego's, video-games and outside play filled the day. You would have never guessed seven kids filled the home. We had pizza and even cake. We talked about times passed, cracked jokes and had all around good conversation.
I surely can not wait to see the family again.

Hezzie
While it is true we are an unschooling family, I know when my kids are frustrated and need help. Hezzie just turned three and barely speaks and when he does it's not always coherent to strangers. The school district offers free help and well, we decided for him it's the best. Yesterday was his first day and he cried at first but, promptly stopped. It was only an hour but, my heart broke. When I picked up up he was smiling and showed me his bear he made. Today he has a half hour session. So only twice a week.
In November he sees his pediatrician and we can get him back for a neurology appointment. He is very clearly Autistic and needs some OT. He is a bit aggressive and different from his older Autistic brother. We shall see where it leads.
